is there a way to see the flight plan and ur position as in aircraft like the boeing or airbus? (magenta line). or is this too old for that. i thought maybe with the new FMS that would be available.

I found that the simbrief downloader folder I needed was C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\justflight-aircraft-146\work\JustFlight\FlightPlans instead of C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\... . In fact, in the latter, JustFlight\FlightPlans did not exist in \work .

Finally got around to buying this beauty and have been busily setting up my Stream Decks and other hardware for it which has been rather tiring and I still have a long way to go. So, I'm 73, tired and needed a short, sharp and simple video to help me along the way with actually flying the thing rather than watching someone do a two hour flight without fully explaining all the steps :-) THANKS SO MUCH for your video which gave me what I was looking for in just the first minute or so. I look forward to any others you do on this aircraft :-) Happy flying to you sir!

Cameras suck so bad in this sim.

You could try periodically pressing the D key to sync up the directional gyro with the magnetic heading. This might work even though the magnetic heading isn't displayed any where. Also, there's a setting in the assistance options where you can disable gyro drift so that the DG always shows magnetic heading.

the problem with this method is that you are not getting an external view your still getting a vc view externally which isnt what we want if we are looking for genuine external saved views

14:43 - Didn't you say muliple times in the comments that GSX isn't buggy, it just needs configuring correctly? 😉 This bug (because it *is* a bug) is so frustrating; just having to command things two, sometimes three times. You were trying to suddenly be 'funny' when it started bugging out on you but to honest, this video was a bit of a joke. GSX *IS* buggy. No matter how much you criticise people for criticising it (yeah, irony) in a video that shows off it's bugs. You came across as a 100% unadulterated fan boi, blind and ignorant to the failures, dismissing anyone else who has a different perception or outlook. There is a reason why there are so many criticisms of GSX. And contrary to what you think, it's not that everyone else apart from you is thick. It's simply perhaps your own purchase bias, or that you have lower standards in what you'll accept as fit for purpose. Or maybe you're just a model railways type guy, that actually loves all this fiddling around with GSX's objects. Most of us just want immersive loading and then to fly.

Odd video. Your general vibe was "you need to do all this tons of setting up, editing and configuring, dummy, it's not GSX's fault!", whilst totally missing the point that that IS the problem with this fussy, overly complicated, buggy addon. Who wants to go into slew mode and have to edit exits, exit positions, service vehicles, etc, etc, etc on every flight! Talk about an immersion killer. When I first got GSX it was an absolute mess. Then I learnt how to do everything in it. Everything. And once fully edcucated on the dark arts of getting this thing to work as it should, I just lost all interest in wasting so much valuable sim time on setting it up on every flight. Unless you *always* fly between the same set of about 6 airports, it's just a huge, boring waste of time to maintain this. It's like the most beautiful but ridiculously demanding girlfriend, that wants endless attention!
